Q. What is the difference between the Cisco 7941G and the 7961G? A. The 7941G has two programmable line and feature buttons whereas the 7961G has six. Q. What is the difference between the Cisco CP-7941G and the 7941G? A. Nothing they are the same phone. The former is the actual Cisco model number and the latter is a common abbreviated form. Q. Is a power adapter necessary to use the phone? A. Not if the phone is used with Power over Ethernet (PoE) otherwise yes it is necessary.
